The Beats app now supports the new Powerbeats Fit and is compatible with the following Beats products: Beats Solo Buds, Beats Pill, Beats Studio Pro, Beats Solo 4, Beats Studio Buds +, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Beats Flex, Powerbeats Pro 2, Powerbeats Pro, Powerbeats, Powerbeats3 Wireless, Beats Solo Pro, Beats Studio3 Wireless, Beats Solo3 Wireless, BeatsX, and Beats Pill⁺.

ANALYTICS

You can opt-in to send analytics back to Beats in the app. Analytics are designed to protect your information and enable you to choose what you share. Apple collects analytics information about your Beats app and your Beats products, such as the device software versions, device rename occurrences, and device update success and fail rates, in order to improve the product.

None of the collected information identifies you personally. The information collected will only be used by Apple to improve the quality and performance of the Beats app as well as Beats products.

REQUIRED APP PERMISSION

Bluetooth: To connect to your Beats device and perform firmware updates.

OPTIONAL APP PERMISSION

Location: To show the location of your Beats device’s last connection or disconnection.

Notification: To send you notifications when your Beats device’s battery is low, when your Beats device has a firmware update, or when Beats app updates are available in the Play Store.

You can use the Beats app even without providing consent to any of the above optional app permissions. However, some features of the service may not be available.

For the Powerbeats Pro 2 (ironically, the most expensive version), it doesn't let you pair the case to see its charge level. It says that it can track your heart rate, but it seems to me that it only pulls data from any other fitness app you must have, without which, this feature won't work at all. Some times it won't let you see any feature of any kind and will show you adds will take you to their sales website.

Disappointed to find out that these earbuds are not exactly compatible with android devices. It doesn't allow me to set any choice or options to change noise controls. Between not allowing me to set me to use a ambient noise or a setting for speaker set-up. I bought these used, buy still new in packaging with everything else included. So I wasn't technically looking for this specific type of brand. So I never did any research beforehand, so that was my downfall. I wouldn't recommend for android

Rated "E" for Exacerbating! I received these earbuds as a Christmas gift from my brother, since I travel frequently for work and business. Excited to setup, and considering myself pretty tech savvy, I dived in. Well, that went out the window about 5 minutes into setup. Downloading the app is the easiest part, syncing the earbuds is the nightmare. Even with the vague manual, I ended up with flickering lights, error messages and an expensive paper weight.
