No other app I use is rated as poorly. Responses from Phonak here typically are laced with user error excuses. We’re the customer. I’ve spent $5800 for HA’s, $160 for a spare charger, $331 for TV link, and $30 for filters that need repacking regularly. My starkey aids filters seldom needed changing. 6 years on the filters supplied at initial puchase. 10 Phonak filter in 1 month. I imagine the excuse will be customers failure. My chargers both stopped working. The only clue in the manual pointed out the reset. So forced to find a solution or not hear for a week before I can get to AU at The Mayo, I experimented and found that unplugging charger from power, rest hold for 10-15 seconds, after which plug in power again, they reset. 2 chargers 3 months old shut down. That’s nuts! These aids are incredible. The sound quality is incredible. The ability to create programs is awesome. The new AU accessible update to auto on rocks. No dryer is HA heaven! Now improve the manual, sort the filter issue and extend the warranty we deserve after having weekly issues for 3 months. For take record I’m extremely weird versed in using app and have highly developed computer skills. Prior to going ake Apple devises I constructed my own towers with individual components. Any who put system together 25-30 years ago knows the frustration of getting device and add ons recognized by mother board firmware. THESE AIDS NEED BETTER MANUALS. The phone app works great. My only suggestion on phone app is allow access to the Bluetooth/streaming program settings when NOT streaming so you can adjust them before or after a call. I do have issues with my hearing aids randomly disconnecting from phone and sometimes reconnect (randomly getting the connect and disconnect tones in my ears when there is no change and I’m right next to phone the whole time). But often I get a call and turns out my aids have disconnected and I have to have the person wait while I reconnect. This was never an issue with previous hearing aids that connected to Apple phone thru accessibility hearing aids settings. But the reason I’m writing this review is to beg for an Apple Watch app! It would be SO WONDERFUL if there was a watch app to allow basic function of switching quickly to any program in your list or checking what program you are in, and also for quick muting of your hearing aids when an excessively loud noise is happening. This would make the Phonak experience 10 times better in my opinion! I don’t always have my phone right in my hand or it would be awkward to get it out. A watch app would help so much.

I have had a moderately severe hearing lost in both ears since birth. They failed to note my hearing lost until I was 7 years old. It was through the a very observant second grade teacher that my severe hearing deficit was discovered. Before that discovery, I repeatedly got in trouble because what was in reality was an inability to hear was chalked up as me beings a poor learner, poor attitude, and as one who had at birth had a intelligence deficit due to having also had a partially arrested hydrocephalus as well as hemolytic disease of some the newborn at birth as well. It once it was. discovered that a hearing deficit in both ears, I was fitted with hearing aides. That made all the difference in the world. I went from C’s,D’s, and F’s to A’s and B’s. So, I have been wearing hearing aides for a very long time. I can say that of all the various types of hearing aides that I have worn over the years, I can say without reservation that Phonak is the very best hearing aides that I have ever had. I will have no other. I hear things now that I have never heard before. Hearing conversations is effortless and clear. So, I unequivocally give Phonak 5 stars ! I would give more, but 5 is the top rating. They are absolutely top rated hearing aides.
