It's good for logging in, doing a few things like breeding, hatching and organizing monsters, then letting it sit awhile before you come back. The music you can create depending on what monsters you have is cool. Unfortunately there are also some frustrating annoyances. It pushes you to spend a lot of money, and even if you've already paid for something, it pushes you to watch ads to "get another spin", etc. There are also annoying popups when you log in.

Big issue with those ads is that sometimes they exceed whatever idle time limit is built into the game, so by the time the ad is over, it has kicked you off the game, you have to log in again, and you don't get whatever benefit you were trying for by watching the ads. This is really annoying/frustrating and should be fixed by game developers.

It's not easy to get into, and will require daily, frequent, and relatively uninteresting dedication in the beginning, but before you know it, in the late stages of playing, you have loads of progress to make each and every day and daily sessions that can last hours. Patience is key.
