Want to spend some time with your Girlfriend? Too bad, your rhythmic skills are being challenged by just about every nasty goon on planet earth. So you’ll need to flex your skills and hit notes in time with the music, or the only place you’ll be spending your friday is the hospital.
DADDY DON’T PLAY NICE
In this story you play as BOYFRIEND who’s trying to spend some time with no other than GIRLFRIEND. Bummer her evil, twisted freak of a father would sooner put you to rest than ever allow it. And it’s not just him, go through the story and meet the many disturbed and backwards dopes who’d try to stand in your way.
BANGIN’ SOUNDTRACK
Enjoy the music that’s made waves online, and learn it to a T as you put your rhythm to the test hitting notes in time. Largely composed by KawaiSprite and Saruky, with industry talent collaborations like Lotus Juice of ‘Persona 3’ fame and Kohta Takahashi of ‘Ridge Racer 4’ fame. With over 60+ original songs currently in the game, there’s plenty to master.
INTERACTIVE CARTOON EXCELLENCE
Hand drawn, lovingly made 2D visuals. Every stage unique, every enemy special, and made right in Adobe Flash. The art and animations of PhantomArcade bring the Newgrounds spirit to phones in full force. And with more levels, cutscenes, and playable characters on the way… the amount of eye candy The Funkin’ Crew will bring has no end in sight.
The internet classic with 200+ million players is finally here on the Play Store, in its best form yet

Version 0.8.1
performance_and_bugsdesigncontentAs someone who loves a good rhythm game, this one is a bit disappointing, but still fun: The automatic calibration is garbage, and tried to set my sync over a half-second off. I had to switch between in-game and the calibration menu a couple dozen times to manually dial it in. Also, the system allows you to be >50ms before perfect range, and <10ms late, it's poor. It works about as well as classic FFR. Plus, it has Newgrounds shenanigans. But the music track (except the lemon guy) is amazing~

Version 0.8.1
performance_and_bugsdesigncontentOne of my favorite rhythm games and has a unique and colorful art style that I love. The only thing is that the mapping feels a little weird in this mobile version and it lags somewhat often which messes up my streak. And I don't have a bad phone, its a S24. Also, this is just a minor nitpick but why is the language censored here 😅. It's there on the PC version but it's beeped out here. I would be ok if the rating was changed to M17 and it used the regular language.

Version 0.7.5
performance_and_bugsmonetizationadvertisementsI love this game. I wasn't here for all the bumps and bruises, but when I found out the game, instant love. Every once in a blue moon, even without mods it lags a little, but it's not too bad. And, I didn't mind paying a couple dollars for no ads. I've been playing off brand versions way before this, So when I found out that they are making an official version, HYPE PEAKED. And, the controls feel so good. I got used to it instantly. 5 stars. Just fix the lag issues, and it's good.
